Genre Gig poster

I'm not entirely sure of the name of the genre I have chosen but i believe it falls somewhere in between graffitti and graphic arts. However this particular style expresses very dark and abstract emotions which is why I have chosen it to help represent the Korean musician Seotaiji. Seotaiji's music always changes with each album and in his newest album he mixes rock with some electronica creating a really unique sound which he likes to call Nature Pound. The dark graffitti style of art supports his style of music because his music is very abstract and filled with layers which often times gives 1 song several meanings that can be interpreted.

The main influence I recieved from this particular style of graffitti and graphic art is from an artist named: day-z (who has actually done some work for Seotaiji)

here's a sample of the song Coma in which I based my poster off of.

Image Prevalence

1. Why do you think the reproduction of image is so prevalent in the world today?

The reproduction of image is so prevalent because we can take an image and reproduce it to look better than the original.

2. What do you think this prevalence bodes for the future of graphic design and your place in it?

I believe this prevalence will lead to a large spectrum of ideas for graphics designers to access and manipulate to make it their own unique design.

3. Why do you think the John McCain drive for the presidency failed to use the Internet (or failed to use it effectively) as a means of communicationing with voters?

Because McCain seems like a man who likes to stick with traditions and the internet is fairly new so using the internet for campaigning isn't considered traditional.
